Cheryl Hooper is the loudest, proudest Aggie Mom to Fightin’ Texas Aggies; Jeremiah ’27 a Construction Science major and Hannah ’25, an Allied Health major who recently transferred to TAMUCC School of Nursing.
Cheryl is a retired American Airlines Flight Attendant who still loves to travel. Since retiring, Cheryl works for several local churches as bookkeeper and is the Director of Religious Education at St. Andrew by the Sea. Cheryl is a native of Florida but has called Corpus Christi, Texas home since marrying a Texan, her husband Chris, 33 years ago. Although neither of them were “Aggies”, they are both enthusiastically embracing all of the Aggie Traditions and everything Aggieland has to offer. They especially enjoy making memories with their Aggies in Aggieland.
Cheryl is honored to be the 2024-2026 President of the Corpus Christi Aggie Moms Club. She joined CCAM in 2021 as a way to meet other Aggie moms, learn Aggie Traditions and become involved with local and Federation Aggie Moms Club activities. She says the quote “From the outside looking in, you can’t understand it. And from the inside looking out, you can’t explain it.” truly sums up her Aggie experience so far. She was blessed to serve as club chaplain 2022-2024. Cheryl is and active volunteer in her community and church and enjoys the fun and beauty of coastal living in Corpus Christi.

Melanie Harrington is a Corpus Christi native and graduate of Mary Carroll High School. She worked as an administrative assistant at a Part 135 commercial aircraft company at the Corpus Christi International Airport, where her newfound love for flying after high school graduation led her to work full time at the commercial aviation company. Melanie has been very fortunate to obtain aviation, construction, trucking, wholesale, recycling, import/export, private investigations/security, legal and accounting/financial experience. Melanie’s love for numbers led to her 33 years of experience in the financial and accounting industry.
Melanie is a single mother of two children, Michael and Meagan. Michael ’17 graduated from Texas A&M Kingsville with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Meagan ’21 graduated from Texas A&M College Station with a degree in Public Health. Meagan graduated from the Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth ’22 and is a RN. Melanie is also the proud mom to her canine daughters, Ava (chocolate Labrador) and Mia, (labradoodle), otherwise known as the A&M Girls.
Melanie is a proud member of the Corpus Christi Aggie Moms Club; she joined in 2017 and has since served as Treasurer and President two terms each. Melanie is currently serving as the Corpus Christi Aggie Moms as Vice President At Large.
Melanie was honored to serve on the Federation Nominating Committee 2021 and was humbled to be chosen to serve as part of the Ambassador Committee during its inaugural year. Being able to spread good will and to be a representative of the Aggie Spirit to promote awareness and membership was the highlight of her time in these positions. Melanie applied for a position on the Federation Board and was selected to serve 2022-2023 as Treasurer. Melanie also served as the District 6 Liaison for the Aggie Mothers’ Clubs (9 clubs) helping answer questions and keeping them apprised of upcoming events and news. For the 2023-2024, Melanie is serving as the Development Chair.
In Melanie’s spare time, she’s an avid volunteer in her community and loves to give back. Melanie’s love as a philanthropist is demonstrated daily with her continued drive to support our youth reach their life-long goals. As such, she is known by many of our youth across this great state as “Momma H”. Melanie serves on the S.A.L.E. Junior Shootout Steering Committee during the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo. Melanie has also volunteered with the Texas Brush Country Safari Club International Chapter as the Membership Coordinator, Friends of NRA as a Committee Member, Corpus Christi NWTF as the President, and several other youth organizations and various schools.
Melanie loves everything Aggie. If you take a look in her closet, you’d be lost in a sea of maroon.

Emma Womack – 2027 Public Health (anticipated graduation Dec. 2026)
Kim Light Womack graduated from Texas A&M Kingsville with a BA in Communication. She went on to get a Master Public Information Officer designation from FEMA with over 140 hours of specialized training in emergency management. She also holds a certification from Texas Christian University as a Certified Public Communicator. Kim has worked as Chief Communication Officer for the City of Corpus Christi and now is serving as the Communication Director at London ISD.
She is married to Michael Womack who is an aggie twice over with a MS and EdD from Texas A&M. He is the Executive Director at the South Texas Botanical Gardens. They have two children. Nathan is an autistic adult with his own business creating pin back buttons and magnets. Emma is currently attending Texas A&M with plans to enter Physician Assistant school upon graduation. Kim enjoys quilting when she is not running the family eBay business.

Dianne graduated from Texas A&M Corpus Christi ‘89. A seasoned real estate professional, she has been helping families buy and sell homes for over 30 years and is currently with RE/MAX Professionals, where she combines her expertise and integrity to serve her clients with excellence.
Dianne finds joy and pride in supporting her Aggies and being part of the Aggie Mom community. From wearing maroon with pride to cheering on the Fightin’ Texas Aggies, she embraces every moment of this special journey. One of her favorite experiences has been attending the Aggie Mom Camp, where she’s made lifelong friends, shared laughter and tears, and deepened her connection to the Aggie Family. For Dianne, being an Aggie Mom isn’t just a title, it’s a heartwarming adventure filled with tradition, spirit, and love.
